Emma Dickson
Solicitor
Emma is a solicitor in the firm’s Birmingham office having
joined Browne Jacobson in 2007. She is based in the trade and
innovation team and has recently spent five months on secondment,
working with the in-house team at BP advising on a wide range of
procurement contracts, and IP issues.
Emma’s role involves advising and assisting clients in
connection with the legal aspects of IP matters, advising in
relation to trade marks, patents, designs and licensing. She also
advises on general commercial contracts.
Prior to joining Browne Jacobson Emma’s experience includes
heading up a franchise resale team and advising clients on both
contentious and non contentious intellectual property matters, in
particular in relation to trade marks.
She has recently completed the highly regarded Postgraduate
Diploma in Commercial Intellectual Property at Nottingham Law
School and was recently awarded Commerical Solicitor of the
Year 2008 by the Birmingham Law Society.
Away from work Emma enjoys dancing, both latin and ballroom,
reading, films and travel.
