Peter Causton
Solicitor
Peter is a solicitor with the firm having
joined in March 2004. He is currently based at Browne Jacobson's
Birmingham office where he specialises in claims against other
professionals such as solicitors, barristers, accountants,
surveyors and brokers.
Peter has extensive experience in general
commercial litigation including breach of warranty claims,
shareholder disputes, debt recovery and general contractual and
sales of goods disputes. He originally trained as a barrister and
is a qualified solicitor advocate. Clients benefit from
Peter's positive and proactive approach as well as his extensive
experience, which has notably included defending a large number of
claims brought against a solicitors' practice where the solicitor
was imprisoned for fraud.
Peter is active in the Birmingham legal
community, having been Chairman of the Birmingham Young Solicitors'
Group in 2004. He was recently awarded the title of Birmingham Law
Society Assistant Solicitor of the Year in the 2007 Birmingham Law
Society awards.
Away from work, Peter enjoys swimming and
running and has completed, amongst others, the Great North Run
(twice!) and the Bristol half marathon. He also likes to
spend time with his young family.
