Nik Carle
Partner
Nik is a partner with the firm having joined
Browne Jacobson in 1992. He specialises in professional
negligence claims and insurance coverage disputes. He deals
principally with claims against advisers in the legal, property,
media, technology and financial services sectors.
He has acted for professional indemnity
insurers in some high profile Court of Appeal cases, including
Raja v. Austin Gray (regarding professional duties owed to
non-clients) and Beary v. Pall Mall Investments (ruling on
causation principles in IFA claims.)
Nik is a member of the Chartered Institute of
Arbitrators (MCIArb), the Professional Negligence Lawyers
Association (PNLA), the British Insurance Law Association (BILA)
and the Society for Computers and Law (SCL).
Away from work, Nik enjoys film, photography
and the occasional round of golf.
