Declan Cushley
Partner
Declan Cushley is a partner and heads up the intellectual
property team in our Birmingham office. He joined the firm from
Molson Coors in 2005, where he was European IP Counsel. Before that
he spent six years at Wragge & Co. During that time he was
seconded to the in-house team at British Airways and to BP. He also
spent some time working within the IP team of a leading New York
law firm.
Declan has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of
intellectual property agreements and disputes. He has advised on
major sponsorship agreements, global brand management, programs,
design, copyright and trademark infringements and licensing. He
also advises on the IP and commercial issues arising from mergers
and acquisitions, disposals and banking transactions.
Away from work, Declan spends his time reading and trying to
improve his golf skills. He also enjoys travelling and spending
time with his son perfecting his cricket skills, a game which with
his Irish roots, Declan has not quite grasped!
